VELÉNA is a showcase site. There is nothing to subscribe to and no account to create — the contact form is the only place you can hand us personal information. This page says plainly what happens to it.
What we collect
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, an optional company name, what your message is about, and the message itself. We also record which language you wrote in, so we answer in the same one, and your browser’s user-agent line, which helps us tell a person from a spam script.
That is the whole list. We do not ask for an address, a phone number or a date of birth, and there is no sign-in on this site.
What we do with it
We use it to answer you, and to keep a record of business enquiries such as wholesale requests. Nothing more.
We do not sell your details, do not rent them, and do not hand them to advertising networks. We do not send marketing email — if you write to us, you get a reply, not a mailing list.
Where it is kept
Messages are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, and a copy is emailed to us through Resend so that we see it. The site itself runs on Vercel. All three keep ordinary server logs of requests, as any web host does.
These providers may process data outside Canada, which means it can be subject to the laws of the country where their servers are.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of a business enquiry. Ask us to delete your message and we will delete it.
Cookies and measurement
No advertising cookies, and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Before the site opened publicly it could set one technical cookie, which let us look at the finished pages while visitors saw a holding page.
We count visits with Vercel Analytics. It works without cookies and does not follow you from site to site — we see how many people read a page, not who they are.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to us and a real person will handle it.
If you are not satisfied with how we answer, you can bring it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we change this page and update the date at the top.
